On August 26, 2020, DJI, the world leader in civilian drones and creative camera technology, unveiled the new OM 4 smartphone which transforms handheld stabilizer technology. This is the latest in 3-axis stabilizer technology with a unique high-grade magnetic attachment design that makes it simpler to attach and balance the phone to the DJI OM 4.
Two New Options
The OM 4 is a rebranded sequel to DJI’s popular Osmo Mobile line. It has two new options which makes attachment and detachment of the phone quick and easy.
One option is a sleek, secure and lightweight metal clamp that connects to the back of the smartphone and which can remain fixed to it during daily use, and which can be ready to instantly attach to the OM 4. The design makes it possible for users to access and control its core features and functions with just one hand. Also, when it is not in immediate use, the OM 4 can stay in Standby Mode to be easily and quickly reactivated at a moment’s notice.
A second option is a smartphone camera that has a portable, sleek folding design, intuitive operation, upgraded and robust motors, and its stabilizer with pre- programmed shooting modes and professional-grade features help to easily create smoother, higher quality and more visually appealing images and videos — compelling content — important moments — that are likely to impress anyone.
Quick & Easy to Use & Long-lasting Battery Life
The DJI OM 4 has an impressive battery that lasts up to 15 hours and which can also be used as a portable battery charger if needed. Because the OM 4 is compatible with the vast majority of smartphones and so easy to use, it is likely to be a companion for the owner whenever there might be opportunities to capture impressive images and videos.

The ActiveTrack 3.0 makes it possible to choose a subject and the OM 4 will automatically track and let the gimbal do the work. Framing during ActiveTrack can now be adjusted by using the joystick for enhanced control.
Timing Options
It is also possible to either speed-up or slow-down the time so that the world surroundings can be seen in quick motion and follow subjects and movements faster to add a level of action to the scene or in stunning detail with the slow-motion feature. The camera also has a panoramic option in which it is possible to choose from three creative panoramic scenes to capture a wider perspective including 3X3 panorama, 240°panorama and a new “CloneMe” panorama, which enables the user to add multiple versions of a person or subject into one shot for a unique effect
The newly updated, and improved, mode features, allows for distinction between subjects such as adults, children, and pets.
