PowerEgg Drone Supports Live Streaming and Video Calls

PowerVision reveals new live streaming, video conferencing update of capabilities for PowerEgg X Drone firmware and gimbal, which updates and supports live streaming on major platforms, including YouTube, Periscope, and TikTok. This new videoconferencing capability works with global growth in virtual conferences and events; as well as providing support for Windows and Mac devices for platforms, such as Zoom, Skype, etc.

The PowerVision Robot Corporation is the only company in the world that is producing aerial, water-surface, and underwater robotic devices, in addition to being the only robotic company to achieve mass production of underwater AI robotic devices. And it has announced that its award-winning, high-performance drone — the PowerEggX — now supports live streaming and video conferencing.

Live streaming and video conferencing build upon what are already impressive features and performance of the drone as part of the 2.1.2 update for the PowerEggX firmware, and the new features come along with firmware version 2.1.2 and are offered to all users at this time. In terms of video calling, the PowerEgg X has essentially been adjusted to mimic a webcam in the correct mode and is connected to a PC, which makes it possible to be used as a webcam for virtually any video conferencing app, such as Zoom, Skype, and Google Meet. In this mode, the camera will also lock onto the user, with the gimbal moving to keep the user in the center of the frame and enables that user to join a meeting or call in either 720p or 1080p resolution.

It is now possible to live stream directly from the PowerEgg X while flying and in drone mode, which makes it possible to connect directly to YouTube, Periscope, and TikTok. SyncVoice allows users, who are watching the stream, to record their first impressions of the video anonymously, in order to provide a more realistic experience during the pandemic.

The founder and CEO of PowerVision, Wally Zheng, shared:

“With the exponential growth in global virtual events, conference organizers, producers, and participants are looking for a more dynamic production experience. The PowerEgg X’s new features set a new standard for innovating the future of both live and virtual events and exhibitions.”*

PowerEgg X camera has a 1/2.8″ sensor capable of 12MP photos and 4K 60 fps video at 75 Mbps and combines the three main ways many people shoot while using one product.

The PowerEgg X first appeared at CES 2020, the most influential technology event in the world — the testing ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators. This is the place where the world’s biggest brands do business and meet new partners, and where the sharpest innovators make their presentations, and thereby raise the bar for multi-functional smart drones.

With its IPX6 waterproof case, the 2.1.2 update puts the PowerEgg X ahead of its competition in the global aerial drone industry.

The PowerVision PowerEgg X can be used as a handheld camera due to the removable arms and the increase in the battery life to 3 1/2 hours. In addition, the camera has face detection that enables it to automatically track a person by keeping them in view. The PowerEgg X has gesture controls and makes it possible to dub one’s voice over the footage, using the mobile app.The incredible growth of livestreaming during a time of global change has resulted in  scores of people turning to social media and using live streaming as an incredibly popular way for people to connect with their audience. Live Streaming can now be used on PowerEgg X directly through the drone mode and AI camera mode.

Because SyncVoice Technology is embedded in PowerEgg X, users are able to record their first impression with high-fidelity audio remotely, which provides an authentic livestreaming experience enabling the user’s audience to realistically imagine themselves “in the moment.”
