Altitude Angel Integrates With Sky-Drones To Provide Enhanced “In App” Experience

Altitude Angel, the world’s leading Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) aviation technology provider, announced, on August 3, 2020 that it will integrate its “best-in-class data” with Sky-Drones, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) avionic solutions provider, in order to strengthen Sky-Drones Cloud, its drone management platform.

Richard Parker started Altitude Angel in 2014 and it is headquartered in Reading, U.K. It is a company that delivers solutions that enable safer integration and use of fully automated drones into airspace. GuardianUTM O/S, is its Airspace Management platform, which makes it possible to deliver the essential software platform that makes national deployments of U-Space compatible services possible. This unlocks the potential of drones safely and assists national aviation authorities and air navigation service providers in establishing new services to support the growth in the drone industry.

Sky-Drones creates both hardware and software “professional full stack UAV avionics solutions,” which includes flight control, ground control and communication systems as well as a cloud-based management platform. This makes it possible for its global customers to build and operate drones for commercial and security applications.

This integration of Altitude Angel’s best-in-class data, has made it possible for Sky-Drones to develop a variety of products and services that have been enhanced, thereby improving its in-app experience. This will now enable operators to subscribe to Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) services by providing “situational awareness through the display of NOTAMS, Temporary No Fly Zones, and ground hazards.”*

In addition, an advanced ‘Pro’ subscription will also be available from Sky-Drones. These include services such as:  “Altitude Angel’s ‘game changing’ Conflict Resolution Service (CRS), airspace alerts, and the ‘Universal Flight Gateway’ for access to flight authorizations from ANSPs,where available.”*

Richard Ellis, Altitude Angel, Chief Business Officer, said concerning joining in partnership with Sky-Drones

“By bringing together Altitude Angel’s data-set with its full stack UAV avionics and ground control suite, Sky-Drones will be able to offer drone operators an exceptional tool to allow performance monitoring, mission planning, real-time control and post flight AI analytics.”*

The Chief Executive Officer of Sky-Drones, Kirill Shilov, explained:

“At Sky-Drones we highly prioritize and always make efforts to enhance the safety of drone operations. A growing number of drones and more complex mission scenarios require reliable airspace regulator and it’s obvious Altitude Angel is leading this sector. Upcoming integration will that Sky-Drones users will be among the first worldwide able to fly in controlled airspace without the need to switch between drone control and airspace authorization apps.”*

The system was demonstrated as part of ‘Operation Zenith’ in 2018, offering enhanced airport safeguarding and automated approvals to fly in controlled airspace. Altitude Angel is now bringing online functionality to enable drone pilots anywhere in the world to get 1-click access to controlled airspace.

Future

Altitude Angel’s integration of its “best-in-class data” with Sky-Drones has made it possible for Sky-Drones to develop a variety of products and services that have been enhanced, thereby improving its “in-app” experience.

GuardianUTM O/S, its Airspace Management platform, and its companion product, supports all the functionality required to deliver national-grade drone traffic management capabilities to any country that wishes to safely unlock the potential of drones.
