Just Released: The New DJI Mini 2 Shoots in 4K

New DJI Mini 2 is the size of your palm and can be put in your pocket. Along with being very small thus easily transported, it flies further than before and shoots 4K. Like the DJI Mavic Mini, it is the smallest and lightest (249 grams) drone on the market, but without some of the limitations of the Mavic Mini.

The Mini 2 comes with DJI’s OcuSync 2 wireless connectivity for up to 2.5 times the wireless range and more stable connectivity. It uses the same controller as the new Mavic Air 2, but without that drone’s advanced obstacle avoidance and tracking because it has far fewer sensors.

The Mini 2 increases its maximum video resolution by up to 4K at 30 frames per second at a 100Mbps bitrate. This is an impressive increase from the 2.7K, 25/30p @ 40Mbps video it shot before. It is now possible to take RAW photos instead of just JPG, as well as do auto exposure bracketing. However, it is still fairly small at only 1/2.3-inch sensor while continuing to shoot 1080p up to 60fps.
The Mini’s flight motors have also been upgraded for faster acceleration and they increased the speed from 29 mph to a top speed of 35.8 mph. It has also increased the battery life from 30 minutes to 31minutes and is expected to weather 24 mph gusts of wind, instead of the previous 18 mph.

One of the only negative comparisons between the Mavic Mini and the Mini 2 is that the Mini 2 costs $50 more as a starting price
Instantly Master Aerial Photography

DJI Mini 2 requires just a few taps to automatically record and shoot professional-level videos, which can be shared directly on social media. The DJI Fly app helps to produce impressive results complete with soundtracks and filters.

All that is necessary for an impressive panorama is to select from Wide-Angle, 180°, and Sphere panoramas, and Mini 2 will do the rest by generating a panoramic masterpiece almost instantly.
The DJI Fly app features intelligent, built-in photo optimization and automatically enhances image quality after downloading a photo, which results in vivid color and details that stand out.

DJI Mini 2 is a great improvement in aerial photography as it optimizes user experience and also due to intelligent features, such as Smart Return to Home, automatic takeoff, and precise hovering. Operation is more streamlined and is also safer than ever.
