A teaser has appeared online which indicates the release of a new drone and camera combo from two of Shenzhen’s large companies — BETAFPV and Insta360. BETAFPV produces quality small drones with innovative designs, whereas Insta360 produces the best 360° cameras and software available on the market today.
Some of Insta360’s cameras are quite small and very well-suited to drones, as a result there seems to be collaboration between these two companies with some products from the BETAFPV being specifically designed to integrate with Insta360 products.
The Insta360 GO are very impressive cameras which are advertised as “The 20-gram Steadicam,” making them ideal for small CineWhoop-style drones. As BETAFPV recognized the compatibility rapidly, released its own Beta85X V2 for $159.99 that is made specifically to hold the Insta360 GO or just a GoPro, weighing less than 250 grams.
Since this drone/camera combo collaborative effort was successful, BETAFPV produced another drone that was built by taking advantage of yet another Insta360 product. This is the X Knight 360, which is designed for the ONE R Twin — a full 360° camera — with one lens protruding from each side of the drone and thereby capturing 360° in flight.
It is obvious that BETAFPV has been building products that fit neatly with Insta360.
There seems to be a trend toward lighter CineWhoop drones and some anticipate that there will be a new BETAFPV drone, which is specifically built to integrate with a stripped-down ONE R.*
The new BETAFPV / Insta360’s collaboration by these two Shenzhen’s companies is producing quality small drones with innovative designs, whereas Insta360 produces the best 360° cameras and software available on the market today. Such partnership is using each company’s strength and thereby producing quality drone- and-camera-combo.
